South Pekin Grade School

          The old school was built on Meyers street. The old school was destroyed by the tornado in 1938.

          This school was built after the old school was destroyed by the tornado in 1938. This school is built on Main street.

          Today there are 302 students in our school. The school has students from kindergarten though eighth grade. We have two principals, Mr. Siebel and Mr. Baschieri. We have one superintendent, Mr. Reising.

          Ralph C. Windle was the superintendent from 1964 to 1974 . He was superintendent for 10 years. The gymnasium is named after him .
          William Reising became the superintendent  1989 . This is his 9th year.
