South Pekin Post Office
          A Third Grade Project
           
          During the Our Town unit, students in Mrs. Wesso's third grade class focused on the South Pekin Post Office. In class, they learned how to write letters and address envelopes. Then, they took a tour of the post office and learned what happens to the mail.

           

          Mrs. Holloway taught the students how to weigh first class mail. Students also learned the history of the South Pekin Post Office.

           

          Then, in the computer lab, students worked with a partner to create a multimedia presentations about the Post Office using Kid Pix. Click here to view our Post Office SlideShows.
