The two kindergarten classes have concentrated on Community Helpers and animals that live in our area as well as animals that used to live in the state of Illinois.

We visited several sites within South Pekin and interviewed the people who work in those places. We have also had local people come and talk to the children about their jobs. Click here to view our Community Helpers SlideShow.

We also took a field trip to Wildlife Praire Park. This park provides a relatively natural habitat for animals that are native to Illinois; including a black bear, timber wolves and bison.
