Local Businesses in South Pekin

          Caseys is where people get some of their food.  That way people won't have to go into Pekin to get their food.  They also can get gas there.

          E.J. Kraeger had the  first  grocery  store. The grocery store was located by the post office.

          Every Sunday there is an auction at the Pfeiffer's auction house.

          The Police Station is on Main Street. It helps keep the crime level down.


           
          The  library  is  important  part  of  our  town. A lot  of  children  study  there. The library and police department are in the same building.

          The fire department is very important. It  is volunteer. It is on Main Street in South Pekin.

          The  Cincinnati Township Building is a place where South Pekin holds elections and stores road construction vehicles.

          Y-Not-Pizza is a new pizza place in town. There are games like pool and darts. There is a juke box, too. The people that work there are nice. It opened in 1998.

          The Golden Spike Cafe is about a year old.  The building has been occupied by many other businesses.  It is located on the corner of 1st and Main Street.

          The post office is important in South Pekin because it delivers all of the mail.
